Taking the first step to reach out for support can feel daunting, but you don’t have to do it alone.

Sometimes you know exactly what’s going on. Other times, you just know that things don’t feel quite right and you’re not sure where to start.

Counselling gives you a space to slow things down, talk things through and make sense of what’s happening. A space where you can be honest about how you’re really feeling, without judgement or having to pretend you’re fine.

I work with people through all sorts of life’s challenges; from anxiety, stress and feeling overwhelmed, to grief, difficult experiences, relationships, motherhood and those times when life just feels like a lot.

You don’t need to have it all figured out before you reach out. We can start wherever you’re at.

I offer a few different ways to connect, so you can choose what feels most comfortable and works best for you.

Counselling Support

Sometimes life feels heavier than it should. You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected from yourself or simply exhausted from trying to keep everything together. Counselling can give you somewhere to put all of that down for a while. A space to talk openly, make sense of what’s happening and work out what you need moving forward.

You might come to counselling because you’re experiencing:

  • Anxiety, worry & overwhelm

  • Low mood or depression

  • Stress and burnout

  • Grief and loss

  • Difficult past experiences or trauma

  • Difficult or unexpected life changes

  • Relationship challenges

  • Big emotions, feeling like things are getting too much

  • Motherhood, parenting or changes in identity

  • Everyday life feeling like a lot

  • Body image or self-esteem struggles

  • School, study or exam stress

  • Confidence and self-belief

  • Health related challenges

You don't need to have a particular diagnosis or a perfectly defined reason for coming. Sometimes you just know that things aren't feeling right. That's enough to start.

EMDR

Sometimes talking about something over and over doesn't make it feel any different.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is a structured therapy that can help when past experiences still feel emotionally or physically present, even when you know they happened a long time ago.

Rather than needing to tell your story over and over, EMDR works with the way difficult experiences are stored in the brain and body. Through a series of guided steps and bilateral stimulation, we gently work towards helping memories feel less stuck and less overwhelming.

EMDR can be used to work with trauma, distressing experiences, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, medical or birth experiences, relationship trauma, addictions, sleep issues, phobias, panic attacks and other experiences that continue to affect you in the present.

EMDR aims to help difficult memories feel less overwhelming and reduce the emotional impact they can still have in your life today. It can also help shift unhelpful beliefs about yourself towards more balanced and supportive ways of seeing yourself.

We always work at your pace. You can pause, slow down or stop at any point.

Resource Therapy

Sometimes it can feel like different parts of us want completely different things. One part might feel confident while another feels anxious. One part wants to move forward while another is holding tightly to what feels familiar or safe.

Resource Therapy is a form of parts work that recognises that we are not just one thing. We can have different emotional responses, beliefs, memories and ways of coping, and each part has a reason for being there.

In our work together, we can gently explore these different parts without judgement, understand what they may be trying to do for you, and help create more flexibility in how you respond to life now.

There is no need to fit yourself into a box or have everything figured out before you begin. All parts are welcome.

Birth Debrief

A one off, 2 hour Birth Story Reflection & Recovery Session with Kate, created to provide a supportive, confidential space to process and reflect on your childbirth experience.

Are you a new parent feeling a mix of emotions after childbirth?

Are you holding lingering emotions, unanswered questions, or difficult feelings after birth?

Do you find yourself replaying parts of your experience or struggling with how things unfolded?

Do you want a safe space to share, process, and make sense of your birth story?

In a compassionate, trauma informed environment, we’ll gently explore your experience together, acknowledging both the challenges and meaningful moments, while supporting your emotional recovery moving forward.
