A self-paced therapeutic program to help you understand your anxiety, soothe your nervous system, and build confidence in your ability to manage life’s challenges.
If you’ve ever felt like anxiety quietly runs the show, shaping your choices, draining your energy, and keeping you in constant “what if” mode - you’re not alone.
Creating Calm was designed to help you change that
Developed by Clinical Counsellor Kate Landete, this course offers a compassionate, evidence-informed approach to managing anxiety. Drawing from both professional experience and her own journey with anxiety, Kate gently guides you to understand how anxiety works and how to work with your body and mind to find steadiness again.
“You are not anxiety … it’s simply something you experience.”
What You’ll Learn
Across eight thoughtfully structured modules, you’ll learn to:
• Understand what anxiety really is, and why it shows up.
• Recognise your unique signs, triggers, and patterns.
• Reconnect with your body and nervous system to feel safe again.
• Reframe unhelpful thought patterns with gentle cognitive techniques.
• Learn mindfulness, grounding, and breathing tools to calm anxiety in real time.
• Build daily habits that support lasting calm and resilience.
Each module includes reflective prompts, guided exercises, and practical strategies you can revisit anytime you need support.
Creating Calm is for you if you …
• Feel anxious, on edge, or easily overwhelmed.
• Want to understand why anxiety happens instead of fighting against it.
• Are looking for practical tools grounded in psychological insight, not quick fixes.
• Prefer a self-paced, gentle approach you can do privately, in your own time.
This program is suitable for anyone seeking greater self-awareness and emotional balance. It complements counselling but is not a replacement for therapy.
When you understand how anxiety speaks through your body, you can respond with more care, compassion, and choice.
I know what it’s like to live with anxiety - I’ve been there.
For as long as I can remember, anxiety was a quiet companion in my life, sometimes a whisper, sometimes a storm. Over time, through both personal healing and professional study, I’ve learned how to understand it, work with it, and create a greater sense of calm and self-trust.
As a Clinical Counsellor (B. Counselling, PACFA Accredited EMDR Practitioner), I’ve spent years supporting people through trauma, grief, loss, anxiety, and depression. In my practice I help clients better understand themselves, develop practical coping strategies, and reconnect with a sense of steadiness and ease.
My approach is compassionate, down-to-earth, and infused with gentle humour. I believe therapy and personal growth aren’t about “fixing” yourself, they’re about learning to meet your experiences with kindness, curiosity, and care. That same philosophy is what inspired Creating Calm - a course built to help you understand anxiety, calm your nervous system, and feel more confident in your ability to navigate life’s challenges.
